ALGAE BIOTECHNOLOGY is a pioneer in the technological development of microalgae and cyanobacteria cultivation systems in Brazil and Latin America. A complete laboratory and pilot plant infrastructure, a dedicated and professional team and an intense collaboration with centers of excellence in Biology and Engineering in Brazil and abroad are the basis for the technology development program.
Environmental Sustainability
Algae has a strong focus on developing biofuel producing systems that don’t compete with food producing areas, demand small areas and have a low water and energy consumption. This will be achieved through the utilization of agricultural residues, and innovative engineering ideas, which will also allow inclusion of projects under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
Economic Feasibility
